Multiple Positions: More Ways to Explore
One of the cornerstones of our project is to create an engaging and diverse user experience. This means more than just floating aimlessly through the vacuum of space. We want you, our fearless explorers, to truly command the cosmos.
To that end, we’ve been developing a system of multiple positions within the spacecraft. From the captain’s chair to the engineer’s console, and the pilot’s seat to the gunner’s station, every role brings unique experiences and challenges. Each position contributes to the narrative, enhancing the sense of teamwork and camaraderie as players navigate the digital universe together. Recently, we’ve been working on the gunner station: a position that will be open to anyone on the ship. Since it will be such a fun part of the experience, anyone can man the guns whenever the need arises.
A New Perspective: Multiple Cameras
Space is a panoramic wonder, and capturing its grandeur requires a unique approach. First, we’ve incorporated multiple cameras into our simulation to provide a variety of perspectives, as if you’re actually looking out the window of a spacecraft. We’ve also been hard at work testing methods for adding parallaxing to the windows for a very convincing viewing experience.
Total Control: Intuitive and Immersive Controls
Creating an immersive experience extends beyond visual aesthetics; it’s about interaction and engagement. We’ve been hard at work developing intuitive controls that give you mastery over your environment and tasks. From steering the spaceship, operating the weapons systems, to managing the spacecraft’s power distribution, every button, lever, and switch adds to the depth of the space exploration adventure.
